Questions You Actually Need Answered

Your Banker Never Gave You
a Straight Answer.

We do. Every question below is one a veteran business owner asked us directly. Every answer has a real number, a timeline, or a document name.

01

Will government contract deposits clear faster than a regular bank?

Yes — and we'll give you the exact number. ACH deposits from federal contracting officers (DFAS, GSA Pay, and agency-specific systems) clear in 4–6 hours on business days, not the 1–3 days you've been told elsewhere. IDIQ task order payments and SBIR phase payments process on the same timeline. We've optimized our ACH routing specifically for federal payment systems. If a deposit doesn't clear within 8 hours of the scheduled payment date, we flag it automatically and your account rep gets a same-day alert.

The edge cases matter

Overdrafts during contract gaps. Multi-entity structures. Deployed spouse access. Here are the answers.

04

What happens if I accidentally overdraft during a contract payment gap?

We don't charge overdraft fees — period. If your account dips below zero while waiting on a delayed federal payment, we cover up to $500 with no fee and no interest for 5 business days. This is specifically designed for the gap between task order completion and DFAS payment processing. After 5 days, a flat $10 bridge fee applies (not a percentage, not compounding). You'll get a push alert at $50 balance so you're never surprised.

$47K IDIQ in 6 hrs

"$47K IDIQ cleared in under 6 hours."

I'd been chasing a $47K IDIQ payment for nine days at my old bank. Moved to Muster, same payment cleared in under six hours. That's not marketing — that's real.

Deployed spouse access in 48 hrs

"Full account access without a branch visit."

My husband is currently deployed. I needed to scale our Shopify store and couldn't get to a branch. Muster's MPOA process took 48 hours and I've been managing everything from base housing ever since.

"Two entities. One dashboard. Clean books."

I run a prime contractor LLC and a separate sub-entity. Muster gave both their own routing numbers and one dashboard. My CPA stopped complaining about my books for the first time in three years.
